Mr. Griffin’s career spans more than 40 years in Operations and Engineering management. Prior to joining AusculSciences, he headed the manufacturing operations of Visible Assets Inc., the world-leader in low-frequency RFID. From 2000 to 2004 he was responsible for manufacturing activities in Ottawa and Oakland, CA, for WorldHeart Corporation producing advanced, fully-implantable heart-assist devices. Before that he held the position of Vice President of Manufacturing for Visible Genetics, Inc., responsible for R&D, design and manufacturing of DNA sequencing instruments and associated equipment. Bob is an expert in ISO9000, ISO13485 and the QSR, and has implemented systems compliant with each of these specifications.
Bob’s career began in aerospace at Canadair (now Bombardier) in Quality Engineering and he grew to head all QA functions. He was promoted to Director of Manufacturing for the CL-600 Challenger Executive Jet. In 1981, he joined Bell Northern Research, Canada’s largest R&D company, as Director Product Introduction responsible for compliance with Product Specifications, Manufacturability, Cost Targets, Reliability and Integrity. In 1984, he joined New York headquartered General Instrument as Vice President of Operations for the Satellite Systems Division (Toronto) and the Jerrold Distribution Systems Division (Pennsylvania) with production facilities in Mexico. He has 12 years’ experience in Management Consulting with clients in Canada, Mexico and the U.S.
