Healthy Heart Study Initiation
AusculSciences today began recruitment of healthy individuals to participate in its r Healthy Heart Study protocol. This Health Canada approved protocol focuses on recruiting men and women from the community who meet the study criteria in terms of age, medical conditions, and family history. Those individuals who are deemed to have “healthy hearts” based on this screening criteria will be invited to undergo a CAD-det System test. The CAD-det is an acoustic based, non-invasive, non-stressful, non-nuclear test designed for the detection of coronary artery disease.
As with data collected from volunteer patients at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, University of Calgary, and University of New Brunswick, data from participants in the Healthy Heart study will be collected by AusculSciences to further develop the ability for the CAD-det System to analyze and identify the signals associated with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD).
