First CAD-det Test Performed at a Hospital
Today, researchers from the University of Ottawa Heart Institute – led by Dr. Benjamin Chow – performed the first CAD-det test on a volunteer patient. The CAD-det1 is a single-sensor device designed to capture the acoustic signature of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). The CAD-det1 is being used as part of an investigational research study sponsored by AusculSciences and led by Dr. Chow. In the study, data acquired with the CAD-det1 will be compared to results of the patient’s invasive cardiac catheterization angiography (ICA) or cardiac computed tomography angiography (CCTA) procedures
